University Of Science & Arts Of Oklahoma Willis, St. Jean, Simon, and Pennells Deliver Strong Performances at 2023 NAIA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Championship | University Of Science & Arts Of Oklahoma

Last Thursday and Friday, four members of the Science & Arts men's indoor track and field team competed at the 2023 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship, located on the campus of South Dakota State University, in Brookings, South Dakota. 

On Thursday, the historic 4x400 meter relay team, consisting of Kemoy Willis, Kalique St. Jean, Aarin Simon, and Quintin Pennells, competed in the semifinals and finished in 16th place with a time of 3:19.13.

On Friday, Quintin Pennells got the day started with a 17th place performance in the 400-meter dash, with an impressive time of 48.87. Pennells performance was also the best out of any competitor from the Sooner Athletic Conference.Aarin Simon and Kalique St. Jean finished back-to-back in the 600-meter run. St. Jean concluded in 13th place with a time of 1:21.84, closely followed by Simon in 14th with a mark of 1:21.95.

St. Jean also delivered an 18th place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:00.05.

 

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will now prepare for the outdoor track and field season, set to begin later this month.
